Vortex rearsets, suspension stuff last shot

Last chance before it all goes on eBay or I take it to a swap meet, or more likely just toss the lot of it since it doesn't fit anything I have any more. Penske double clicker rear shock with spring setup for 240# hominid - SOLD! Vortex rearsets in black - now $200 shipped in lower 48...

    Knowledge please!

Powder coating won't stay on the header pipes cuz they get hotter than the melt temp of powder coat. Ceramic coating works great, though. It's a bit more expensive but it's bulletproof. Keeps the heat inside the pipes to keep up the flow rate and won't trap water and oxidize the pipes like...

Suspension and exhaus tstuff for sale

Oh yeah, had to go with the DL1000. I was surprised just how relaxed the riding position is. Much less knee bending necessary to sit the bike, and in my declining, decomposing, biodegrading years that's unfortunately what I need. At least I'm not shopping for a trike. That will someday be...

Suspension and exhaus tstuff for sale

Went to a VStrom. Much easier on my aged and artificial knees. Gotten to the point that I can't bend my knees far enough to be comfortable on the pegs any more, so I had to go with something with a more chair-like riding position.

Suspension and exhaus tstuff for sale

Just bought a different bike and I'm going to sell a few things from my FZ8 before selling it. I've got a Yoshimura R77D stainless can (the dual outlet version), the Evotech exhaust hanger and a Penske Sport Shock, double adjustable rear shock set up by Traxxion Dynamics with a spring for a...

    Gun fun

What in the world is wrong with guns for fun? I'm a heavily armed Liberal and I fully enjoy all my guns. Shooting them is fun. Getting to be a good shot is completely enjoyable. Nothing wrong with that at all, in my opinion.

    Goodbye FZ8....well; sorta...

Glad your wife likes the Fizzer; hope you love the Duck. There are tons of farkles available for Ducks, so you'll be able to mod it to death if you want. I had a first generation Multistrada and the best mod I did was a new seat. Sargeant was the one I chose and it suited me just fine.

    Vortex Rearsets

Looking for $250 for them, shipped. Or, as they say, make a serious offer. They're not doing anything for anybody sitting in my garage.

    Vortex Rearsets

FWIW, mine are still up for sale if anyone's looking for a deal on a set. Just sayin'

    Custom Parts

FWIW - Cee Bailey makes very, very effective windshields. They're not the prettiest, but I've had them on both a Gold Wing and a Multistrada and they really know what they're doing and their windshields work really well. No idea what they're thinking on doing for an FZ8, but it'll probably be...

    Vortex Rearsets - Black

These are in like-new condition with all parts and instructions and the whole megilla. They're high quality, very adjustable and solid. I can't use them because I have artificial knees and I can't bend my knees far enough to be comfortable with them no matter where I adjust them. My...

What bikes have you owned? Favorite?

It'll be interesting to me to see if I can remember them all: 1968 Harley Sprint 250 - loved it 1970 BSA Firebird 650 - hated it 1967 Triumph Bonneville - loved it unreasonably- it killed a Mustang for me 1948 HD Panhead - loved/hated it. wish I'd never pieced it out and sold it 1981 Honda 750...

    RyanSterling's Mods

Very interesting. Really want to see finished pics. I like what you're doing with the headlight. In my opinion the headlight is the weakest part of the overall design of the bike. Also interested in seeing more shots showing the stripe.

    Any Harley Owners?

It's a matter of horses for courses. Friend of mine summed it up nicely. He was on his ex-police Harley and a guy on a sport bike came up next to him at a traffic light and asked him if he wanted to race. My friend told him he'd race if he could choose the course. Suggested that they race...

    Ohlins Rear Shock Installation

Lifted mine with my rear stand (I've got spools on the swingarm) and rested the footpeg brackets on jackstands. Took off the side covers for access to the top mounting bolt. Unfastened the bottom of the shock at the bracket and lowered the swingarm by dropping the rear stand after wrapping the...

    Any Harley Owners?

Not always. The bike I pictured has a 113" S&S engine and has been dynoed with 125 lbs/ft of torque and 119 hp. Lots of fun with a foot clutch and a hand shift.

    Any Harley Owners?

I've owned Harleys almost forever. I like them for what they are, or I suppose for what I can make them be. I owned a Street Glide for awhile and it was fine for two-up but it was a pain in the butt around town cuz it was so doggone big. In my experience all Harleys are starter kits, no...
