2003 Honda VTR250 (ran off the road)
2003 Ducati Supersport 1000ds
2006 Moto Guzzi Breva 750
2010 Yamaha FZ8n

I've only been riding for 3 years (and 70,000kms), still have the other 3 bikes.
My favourite is the Guzzi. I've toured on all 3 but that is my favourite for some reason.
Hoped that the Yamaha would be a compromise between the other 2...
Still trying to figure out what I want from a bike.

1988 Yamaha BW 200

2011 Yamaha FZ8
2012 Yamaha Vmax 1700

My favourite was the Z50, indestructable.

What'd you think of your TL1000S

I loved it. It was a 96, full power model that had Suzuki's re-called steering damper on it. I only sold it because I took it down to Florida when I lived there and it was too hot to ride it with any anger. The fans ran constantly and blew hot air in your face all the time.
It was a mental bastard though, would wheelie if you even looked at it wrong.

It'll be interesting to me to see if I can remember them all:

1968 Harley Sprint 250 - loved it
1970 BSA Firebird 650 - hated it
1967 Triumph Bonneville - loved it unreasonably- it killed a Mustang for me
1948 HD Panhead - loved/hated it. wish I'd never pieced it out and sold it
1981 Honda 750 Supersport - liked it but never loved it
1978 BMW R100/7 - respected it but never felt much for it
Yamaha SR500 - great fun bike
1997 Harley FXSTS -still have it and it still changing it to something else every year. It's grown from stock 80 inches to 113 inches and lost it's springer over the years and now it's kind of a Frankenbike.
2002 (?) Honda 919 - loved it beyond all reason
2004 (?) Honda GoldWing - the Big Yellow Thing. Rode the crap out of it coast to coast both ways twice
Ducati Sport Classic - loved the idea of it, didn't much care for the bike
Ducati Multistrada - the Ugly One - again, interesting idea, never warmed to it
2009 HD Street Glide - good for travel, too much bike for around town riding
2011 FZ8 - spiritual and conceptual replacement for the 919 - Learning to love it.

That's all I can remember at the moment. There were a few more that weren't runners, like the pair of 1948 Indian Chiefs I bought in barrels and most of a late model Harley Knucklehead I bought in the back of a pickup truck full of parts from a couple of country boys for a case of beer once. Some pictures of them in my album here.

This is an interesting topic. I've owned in Model year order:
1) 1974 Honda CB450 - good learner bike, blew the head gasket
2) 1979 Yamaha XS1100 Special - almost got me killed. Not a learner bike.
3) 1980 Honda CX500 - Wanted to like it, but the frame was flexi-floppy and handled like a dog.
4) 1986 Honda VFR700 - Aye, now there's a proper bike. Wish I'd kept it.
5) 1987 Yamaha Fazer 700 - Loved the look and the engine, but the previous owners had abused it.
6) 1990 Suzuki VX800 - a really great all around bike with shaft drive, but the previous owner never found the title. Refunded my money.
7) 1994 Honda Magna 750 - My main bike for 10 years. Loved it to death but maintenance became a problem and dealer didn't want to touch it.
8) 1995 Suzuki Intruder 800 - not enough power and too small
9) 1998 Suzuki Intruder 1400 - What I should have got instead of the 800. Started lusting after a faired SV
10) 1999 Yamaha Zuma II - hated it. Sold it after one month
11) 2000 Kawasaki ZX6E - sweet engine, but fully faired bikes are not my thing.
12) 2002 Suzuki SV650S - Loved the look, but clip-ons are a pain in the neck, literally.
13) 2004 Suzuki SV650 - The SV I should have gotten. Only sold it so I could get the FZ8
14) 2012 Yamaha FZ8 - Now I'm happy.

Most favorite? The FZ is really climbing the ranks. They were all great bikes in their own way.

Those 1998-2000 VFR's are my favorite. If I hadn't gotten the FZ8 I think I would have gone back to the VFR.

My list is pretty short because I maintained my uncle's stable for years, that and even starting young, I'm still young

08' Suzuki B-king-caught oil on the rode, miss that bike
11' FZ8

The Favorite has to be the 8, the king was cool but it's like comparing a factory Evo or WRX to a hopped up diesel truck

Started riding on an 89 Hurrican 600 (F1)
several F2's and F3's something like 6 over two or three years. I was young and buying cheap old track bikes, so they never seemed to last too long.
YSR 50, back when you could ride them on the street. We used to race them on a small track at the school football field parking lot once a month.

06 GSXR600
99 Vstarr 650
97 XR650L
97 TL1000
01 ZR750
01 FZ1
08 WR450
08 Buell XB9sx
11 FZ8

Beull is a blast to ride but I run out of RPM's all the time. Want to try out the CR1125, it red lines around 11,500. But I really do like my FZ8.

what bikes i owned?

02 sv650
02 gsxr750
04 gsxr 600
05 cbr600
05 gsxr 750
02 ducati monster s4
12 fz8

I have to say my Ducati was the best bike I've owned by far. I enjoyed the torque and the solidness of the bike. The brakes were awesome, the color scheme, the suspension, and the comfortable upright position. A few things a have to complain about this bike is that i scraped my Termignoni exhaust a few time in the canyons and the main reason I got rid of it was that the first major service was due. $1200:( MOST owners get rid of the bike because the service cost is crazy. I now understand why its the Ferrari of bikes, its a well built Italian machine.

So that's how I ended up with my Fz8. To me it is the Japanese monster with nowhere near as much power as the monster nor does it have its solid feel Ducati offers but it exchanges a smooth quality ride instead. And I'm not going to have to finance my next maintenance:)

If you don't mind me asking how old are you? My list is one of the shortest with my 2012 FZ8 being my first bike. I'm 17.

I miss my good old 82 Honda MB5! Had a blast with it back in the days... I had 3 of them. Crash the first one, the second one was a bit rough... then the 3rd one was immaculate. 49.9cc with top speed of 70 MPH!

I don't mind, I'm 24. My list could be longer but those are the only two I've owned. I've cared for and had access to a nice count of bikes though, never needed one of my own till I moved for a job and even though I'm back home now, i just like having one that's mine.

Re:What bikes have you owned

Got a fairly extensive list I'll spare you all from, but would have to say my favorites were, 2002 Yamaha FZ1(absolute power corrupts all the time) and my 2009 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750(just had something that you couldnt put your finger quite on,read a post somewhere in here where guy was praising his DRZ400SM, hell he shoulda had a motard with some actual power--I know, had the same motor in a DRZ400S,nice bike, but slow was a compliment to it.)
