Here is my list.

1995 Honda CB 500 (Bought this while I was stationed in Belgium)
1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 (mistake)
1996 Suzuki Bandit 600
2000 Honda VFR 800
2002 Honda CBR 954 (stolen)

I would have to say my CBR 954 was my favorite.

1997 Honda Magna
2002 Honda 919 (CB900F)

1989 Kawasaki GPX 250
1996 Yamaha YZF 600 Thundercat
1999 Kawasaki ZR-7
2012 Yamaha FZ8

I see a pattern emerging :)

As for favorite It's hard to call as each have their pro's and con's, but it's defiantly not the GPX 250

2008 Suzuki sv650s- the semi naked
2010 Kawasaki ninja zx6r
2011 yamaha fz8

I loved the top end power of the ninja, but equally love the low end power of the fz8. I seem to be able to use the low end power of the fz8 more than the top end of the ninja.

I like the styling of the fz8 more than the zx6r, now that I have made it my own...

So over all I can honestly say my fave is the fz8.

In order, if my old brain can remember:

UK Bikes:
Yamaha FS1E
Yamaha XS250
Yamaha RD250E
Yamaha RD400
Yamaha RD350LC
Kawasaki Z750
Kawasaki Z750
US Bikes:
Kawasaki Z750
Kawasaki Z1R-1978
Kawasaki Z1000-1978 (Turbo/Nitrous)
Suzuki 1200 Bandit
Kawasaki Z1000-2001
Suzuki TL1000S
Yamaha FZ8

Favorite by a mile was the Bandit. But I spent over 8K on that and turned it into a Streetfighter way before anyone in the US had heard of them.
Mods were too many to list but it was featured in "Streetfighter magazine" back in 97 in a full color, two page spread. Very proud of that bike and wish I still had it.
I have some photos somewhere, I will dig them out and scan them and put them up.

Here is my list...and as you can see I kinda have a thing for CBR's :)
1985 Gpz500
1990 CBR600FL
1991 CBR600F1 (M) (Then got banned and was off bikes a bit)
1990 FZR600R
1994 CBR600 F2 (FP in europe)
1994 YZF750R ( bought from Colin McCrae the World Rally Champ..RIP)
1999 CBR900RRX Child no 2 came along and had to trade for a Honda Civic :(
1993 ZZR600
1991 CBR600F1(M) (yes another one, Red/white this time)
1999 CBR600F4 ( still have)
2011 Model FZ8 (bought new in August 2012)

Yamaha YZF 750 was probably my favourite, handled like a dream...and had plenty of power until I got a ride on the Fireblade....then suddenly it felt a bit weak...lol.

Had several smaller learner bikes when I was in my teens, but one thing is consistent...I have never owned a Suzuki...and there is no actual reason why...lol. :)

highoctane

Canyon Carver
Rode many in my younger days
but only Actually OWNED 4
yamaha rd400

Do you still have Colin's bike?
I knew his dad, Jimmy. Colin was the nicest, most talented driver ever. What a loss. I have his name plate on my WRX

No mate I do not...Traded it for a Fireblade, back in 1999...I never ever spoke to Colin, the deal was done through a dealer who was friends with him, but I did speak to his brother Alistair on the phone, when I was looking for the Rear Seat cowl ...and I believe Alistair now lives here is Western Australia. I can tell you that I reckon Colin could ride a bike as well as he drove...When I got the bike it only had one owner , and had spent most of of its life in Monaco, but the pegs and under neath the exhaust were well scuffed, which was pretty good for the old street cred :)

'05 YZF600r - Great first bike, bought used, shouldn't have sold it.
'09 Daytona 675 - Beautiful bike, horrible maintenance issues, uncomfortable.
'11 FZ8 - A mix of my previous two. Fast enough, comfortable, sporty.

Only been riding for the last 5 years or so, and my bikes have been tests in what I really want in a bike. Can't stand the seating position of cruisers, love the standard seating position (actually, another choice of mine instead of the FZ8 was a Triumph Bonneville, believe it or not). After I swap out the rear shock and the front fork springs, this bike will be perfect for me. I plan on having this for a long time.

Edit: On looking at my bike choices, they remind me of my last three girlfriends (including my current), no joke. My choice in women has changed with my choice in motorcycles.

My list is pretty short:

Suzuki RM125
Suzuki Katana 750
1993 Honda CBR900RR
2011 Yamaha FZ8

I'd been out of motorcycling for about 10 years until I bought my 8 about a month ago. Love having a bike again!

Can't remember the brands of the previous ones but I will start with what I can remember. I grew up on cruisers only been into sport bikes since 2009.

2003 Vulcan 800 classic. Ended up chopping it out.
2004 Vulcan meanstreak. Started riding with sportbikers and ground a hole in my exhaust trying to keep up.
2009 ER6n. Very capable bike but topped out at 121 and it had no more.
2003 Triumph TT600. Hated the seating position of an aggressive aport bike. Not to mention I thought I was going to have to take out a loan to put air in the tires. Fuck me triumphs are expensive to upkeep.
1999 ZRX1100 this was a pig around corners. Drug pegs every time. Although I loved the retro look of the bike.
1998 Suzuki intruder completely chopped out. For some reason had an urge to get back to my cruiser roots.
2007 DRZ400SM with big bore kit. Had to get rid of this because I was getting tickets for riding stairs, sidewalks, and things I shouldn't have been. Riding a motard is like dating the nympho in school you always wanted to.
2003 FZ1 Like the seating position but the power was way more than I would ever need or use.
2010 Nightster. Again rebelling against what I am.
And now a brand new 2012 FZ8 fell in love with the power handling and fucking awesome looks of the bike. Love the flat paint. Since it is unaltered then every mod I choose to do will make the bike mine and suitable to me.
As far as the favorite it would have to be the FZ8. I have loved the looks of the street fighters and think I finally found a keeper.

And my favourite? Until recently I would have said the R1 but the forward riding position was always a problem, even after fitting Helibars. So in hindsight the CBR600 takes the prize. It handled great, sounded great and had a very useable engine which is part of the reason I've come back to a middleweight bike with the FZ8. And I'm sure the FZ will take that prize once spring comes along next year and I can get some proper miles on it :)

abunch of dirtbikes, a four wheeler and three wheeler when i was alot younger. my fav was easily the monster. took me four year to get exactly how i wanted it. wasnt top end fast by any stretch but just shear fun to ride. i put more money in that bike than it cost new only to have some jerk in dodge destroy it for me. that was the bike that started the trend of guys i ride with saying "why u in such hurry? riding like the devil is chasing ya!"
