Also have a pair of Shift Torque jeans, but those feel less protective, it's the minimal I wear when riding, but usually unless it's really super hot outside I wear my complete Rukka suit with Alpinestar back protector. Back is often neglected and is often where the most serious damage can happen...

Where did you find a Rukka suit? From what I am finding, they are really hard to find in the US?

In Canada they are pretty easy to find. Big motorcycle stores usually have a few in stock and then you have them order your exact size (at near 2000$ a kit, they don't keep every size in stock...)

Hehe! Yeah it is pricey. And except for their top end models, they are still hot if it's 35C outside...I mean specially all black...but they are durable, breathable and waterproof like nothing else I've tried...even after 5 years of intense riding.

Other interesting options I've seen lately are from Dainese (with Rukka) are the brands that fit me best Im 6'1 190lbs. Icon lately have surprised me, I always found their line very cheesy...but look at their latest jacket:
