I've used both the Yamaha one and a Givi Tanklock bag. The Yamaha uses 2 straps with 'padded' flaps that keep the straps directly off the tank. One strap goes around the headtube, the other around the frame between the seat and fuel tank (in a loop). The tankbag will still move around a bit...

When I installed my 2 Bros Carbon Pipe with no other mods, I noticed the increased back firing / popping on downshifts and throttle roll-offs. It also felt much more 'jerky' on the throttle response. Thankfully, the JBP resolved all of that and improved performance!

I wear ear-plugs (not sure what kind, they are rubber with multiple fins) with both my HJC and my Arai. Rarely go without them and usually carry a spare bag of them to share on my rides. Once I convince fellow buddies to use them, they become instant plug users. I can't imagine NOT wearing them.
