Ask the dealer to deliver your new bike. I was looking to buy a bike a few hours away and when I told the dealer I found a bike closer to me they offered to deliver it to me for free. Doesn't hurt to ask.

The top case your showing is for the Super Tenere not the FZ8. I bought the Shad top case made for the FZ8. It does alter the lines of the bike but I can't ride without the case. I always have a need for it. Look on the Yamaha web site to see the selection of cases.

You don't have to explain yourself to anyone here that is insulting you. Take a riding course, buy protective equipment and have fun riding your new bike.

Tail case I installed the Shad sh33 top case. I really like it. I use it all the time. I may get the bracket that fits the case to the rear seat. If I go that route I'll remove the large bracket that holds the case now. Shad makes good products.

When I transported my Honda XR650 I used the rear passenger foot peg as a tie off point. I tightened it up really well. When I got to my destination the passenger foot peg had torn away from the frame. I had to get the peg welded back in place. Now I put the strap through the back wheel and...

Yeah the threads of the bolt were stripped. The bike has 2 drain plugs. One in the oil pan and one in the frame. The frame plug was stripped. I had to pay for the repair. They had to put a helicoil in the frame to fix the threads plus a new plug.

Take to the dealer for first one I have a Honda XR650L that I changed the oil myself the first time but I ran into a big problem. The oil drain plug in the frame was stripped when I took it out. I took the bike back to the dealer but Honda denied my claim saying I stripped the bolt not them...

My rate is 3.99%. I bought the bike during a promotion late in the season. I'm paying extra on the monthly payments to pay it off faster. Thanks for the advice.

I just got off the phone with Yamaha and they waived the late fee for me. They said I only get one waiver for the life of the loan. That's good enough for me. I should see that $39 go toward the payoff of my bike. I'll make sure no other payments are late.

Anyone have their bikes financed through Yamaha? Any problems with them tacking on outrageous late fees? I just got my bill today with a $39 late fee from this month. I sent out the payment soon after getting the bill at the end of Feb but they claim it wasn't posted until March 4th. I'll call...

shad top case I went to the dealer yesterday and the new mounting plate fits. Top case looks great. If I could figure out how to post pics I would post some pics. My dealer came through nicely. Colgan Powersports in Manassas Va treats people right.

Mirror plugs I also went to Ace Hardware and bought two plastic plugs to fill the mirror holes after removing the mirrors. Cost about two bucks and the bike has a finished look now. Thanks for the great tip.
