Parked in some loose gravel while running and the bike vibrated enough to slide a bit and tipped over. Only cosmetic damage is some scratches on the left side of the engine and stator case. Any ideas on how to fix these scratches? Sand and repaint? Any good matches on engine paint color, (black)...

31 - The FZ8 is my 7th bike and by far the best. I've owned Litre bikes and SS bikes and grew out of them. Couldn't be happier with the 8.

I've always run shorty levers and have always loved the feel and look. I've had Pazzos in the past but have a pair of Ebay levers right now. Happy with the look and finish. We'll see how they hold up.

Have you heard a Danmoto in person to compare the sound to the Marthys? I've got the Danmoto installed and I'm thinking its going to be too loud. By far this pipe is the best looking Shorty pipe but I'm worried it will be a bit too loud. I'm going to add it to my short list of the V+H and Yoshi.

The 9 at the dealership here I swear has purple wheels.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these exhausts over the winter. Price is about the same and I think they both fit the look of the bike almost perfect. I'm leaning towards the V+H just due to the flat black color. I know plenty of people run both exhausts any opinion either way...

Couldn't say it better. I've owned a 06 GSXR 1000 for 6 years and it was tough to part with her but I absolutely love this FZ8. :) Actually still trying to sell the GSXR if anyone knows any one:)

Definitely agree with decooney. I had never rode with bar end mirrors until my FZ8. I can see soo much better and don't have to flap my elbows. I bought some China cheapes and if or when the paint starts to fade I'll just pick up another set for $20.00. Mine have not loosened, haven't seen 100...

There isn't a large enough piece of wood to knock on to talk about this!!! :) If you take enough chances you are bound to fall sooner or later. Chances of someone else upping your chances are always there. Ride safe and smart and things should stay shiny side up.

My thoughts exactly on the FZ9. I was on my way to the dealer to put a deposit on a 9 when a hold over FZ8 caught my eye. Visually I love the styling and a few tweaks make it the street fighter i wanted.
