They are not cut. I could not fit all the controls if I cut the with the bend they have. The hand guards mounts on the bar only not the end. The ride nice. A little buzz but there are aluminum not steel like the oem ones.

Here are a few quick pics of mine. I'm not sure off the top of my head what they were. But if I remember right I think they were 804mm wide. I really like them.
Wow, I would still ride. It's not that loud. I have one ( I think I was the first) and its not bad at all. Unless you are doing 40 in first just shift and keep the rpms down. I just put 1300 miles in four days on my bike. Rode it to Seattle and back. I love it. I think if my work told me it was...

Ok first.... There are very few bikes out there with a number in the name that is a true displacement statement. Second if your so "anal" then get FZ779 stickers made and run them with pride. Its a lot cheaper.
