Here are a few pics of my Gold Sato's if it helps make your decision. No regrets from me on the purchase. These things are way better then the stockers, and I think the gold looks great! :nana:

I had her pegged out in Death Valley a few months ago for about a 10 mile stretch. During the downhill section of that stretch I was only able to pull 154 mph on the clocks. My Garmin GPS stated that the actual speed was 133. I can say these FZ-8's are hairy at that speed!

Check out solomotoparts.com. That where I picked up my gold Sato's. I think the Sato quality is much better than the LSLs. IMO.

I agree 100%. My Protapers are wide! Gives the bike a real MX feel. The Renthals i had on before were the Streetfighter bars, but my dealer chopped about 1in off each end so he wouldn't have any cable fitment issues. If i had of know he was doing that I would have stopped him. The loss of 2" off...

I actually had a very similar experience with a bar change on my FZ-8. I went with some Renthal 1/8" high-rise bars. After having them installed I drove out of the dealership immediately regretting my decision. The bars felt very unstable at high speeds and extremely hard to maneuver at slow...

Hey Jumb, Thanks For the map! I loaded it today and took a quick spin around town (about 20miles). It seems pretty sweet so far. I didn't get to get into the throttle as much as i would have liked due to the holiday traffic. I'm trying to hit a ride tomorrow that should test it out a little...

What map are you running? I am currently running just the "Akrapovic Racing slip-on (DbKiller removed) Stock air filter" map. Those #'s are looking pretty damn good! I just did the ABM yesterday myself. Curious how much better the bike can get with a new tune!:woot:

Haha! Yeah, I was hesitant to even write that part because I'm sure there is an FZ-8 "noise expert" out there that could tell otherwise, but to me it IS slightly different. Thanks btw for the pics. I have been wanting to do this mod for a while, but never had decent pics of what the hell to cut...
