Forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere being a couple of months old, but I didn't see upon searching. I was discussing with my brother, who is starting to get into motorcycling, and said while he liked my bike design more than Honda's, he may go the Honda route just because he thought they were more reliable. I remembered seeing a Consumer Reports last year on it that put Yamaha right up there with it, but when I looked it up for him I found a new one done back in April that showed Yamaha as the most reliable. I know that these studies aren't perfect, but it does show quite a difference when you get up to the Triumphs and BMWs. When you factor in that (at least in my town) the Triumphs and BMWs cost twice as much to work on, it probably skyrockets repair and maintenance prices compared to Yamaha. Seeing this I feel I made a pretty good choice for reliability in my commuting and it really opened up his eyes.
