Waxing the bike

Just got my fz8 (naked) yesterday. I traded in my bolt, which I meticulously waxed and cleaned. Iv read two sides of the fence for waxing matte paint, what do you guys do?

I've got a matte gray 2012 and have never put any wax on it and it still looks like the day I bought it. Wash it with a good soap, dry it off and go ride! The matte finish was intended for just that.

I just worry about scratches. I'm guessing it's pretty durable though?

I've been using this kit to keep my bike clean since I bought it. Always looks brand new after every wash.

Traded in the bolt already? I heard really good things about it.
Thought about taking one for a test drive.

I had the bolt just under a year. Put 3500 miles on it. It's a great bike but the fz8 is better in every way for what I do. Bolts not much of a highway cruiser.

That looks like a nice cleaning kit. How long does it last? 100 bucks is quite bit!

Depends how often you use the different products. I wash about once a month and I bought my kit two years ago. The only thing I am running low on is the soap and the quick detailer.
