Turning her on

Probably a n00b question but here we go. Traditionally when I start my bike, I turn the key, wait for my whole little start up jig run, grab my clutch (always park in first ;))click my engine switch on, start my engine. Sometimes while the start up jig is going, I'll click my engine switch on and it'll queue a sound that lasts until the startup is over. I never really paid attention, but the other day I was thinking about it, and have begun clicking my switch before I turn the key.

Sounds like the fuel injector or what not snagging fuel from the engine? Maybe? Doesn't sound like a bad thing either way. If anything I've begun thinking that's how it should be done.

What's that sound?

Fuel pump priming.. I always have start switch on first so the pump can prime.
