THROTTLE FREE PLAY

How do i adjust it? The manual says contact dealer, but I prefer to do my own work!


I havent been able to locate an adjustment knob on the cable.
Any one find that bugger??

It's the top cable that comes out of the throttle. All you have to do is pull the rubber sleeve off of it and you'll see the adjuster.

The cable adjustment is under the rubber sleeve on the throttle cable that are located about 3" past the throttle housing. Just slide the rubber sleeve apart and make your adjustment then slide the rubber sleeve back together.

i'd not recommend making it too tight as little bumps in the road transfer to the throttle much quicker when it's too tight. my experience anyway.

Make sure there is still some slack in the tension with the bars at full lock both ways.

They are called push/pull cables. One pushes and one pulls on the throttle.
