Ok... compared to the FZ1, it has some interesting numbers.

Front disc brakes down 10 mm yet the rear disc is up 22 mm?

180 instead of a 190 on the rear.... expected.

Bore & Stroke - Stroke is the same but bore went from 77 to 68 which means it is a sleeved FZ1 block

Dimensions are all identical to include the weight!?!? It weighs the same as the FZ1 but has 44 less PS (150 vs. 106). That's a significant drop in power to weight ratio. It appears this thing has a TALL cam in it to create torque though.

I'd be curious enough to try and drive one. Might make a great track bike if it really does have the low/mid grunt. :D

Too bad there's no power curve graphic of the FZ8. I saw power curve graphs for the FZ1 here and here. From 4200rpm on, it's seems to be already above the max 82Nm of the FZ8?

No idea if gear ratios are similar, though.
