right mirror won't come off

any advice? left mirror came off very easy but now right side is stuck.the nut won't budge and it is difficult to rotate the mirror...even in the counter clockwise direction doesn't seem to loosen.

Right side mirror is reverse thread, so the whole time you've been tightening it. Get some penetrating oil and spray it into the crack. Then wipe the nut clean and try again.
