R6 Throttle tube mod - Can't feel any difference

Hi everyone,


I have a 2014 FZ8, and I tried to modify it by changing its throttle to an R6 for a shorter WOT.


I ordered Motion Pro 01-0094, tried it, but felt no difference.


So I decided to compare both original tube vs. the Motion Pro (Color White). If you check my attached photos, it seems that they have the exact same diameter?


1. Am I wrong?


2. Which R6 tube can I use to shorten the WOT?


3. Where do I place the black plastic ring? does it go inside the plastic cap grip, or outside it?

I just ordered the R6 OE part number right from a dealer. It is possible you didn't purchase the correct throttle tube. When I switched I noticed the difference instantly, both on and off the bike. The plastic ring sits between throttle tube and the control housing for your kill-switch/etc.. Sorta acts like another way to ensure throttle tube doesn't rub against the housing and affect its motion.

It's an okay mod to do. It has it's pros and cons, but if it falls in line with what you want out of the bike then it's a nice to have.
