Here are some better pictures. the actual tear is only 1 inch long. the nylon bags have plastic backing behind them, and thats what is showing as being stressed, but there is no tearing. I think some silicon glue or crazy glue or something will fix that issue quite easily.

and here is the rest of the rubbed part. it shows some fraying.
