Oil Pressure Light

Yamalube 10w-40 the first time I saw the problem right after the 600 mi check.
Then the switch was replaced. Then....

Saw it with Amsoil 10w-40. I just keep the level at the TOP of the window now. No more oil light.

I had this issue on my FZ1, I narrowed it down to coming on after I leaned the bike over in a corner while the engine was still cold. Turns out the oil was still cold and thick and got flung up to the top of the engine and takes a while to drain back down until it warms up. Once the oil is warm the issue goes away. The guys at the dealership tested it by starting the bike cold leaning it over and bingo the light came on. They filled the oil level up to the maximum level and the problem went away. They put a note in their FZ1 guide in the shop to remind them on future services. The FZ1 guys on the sister site have known about this for a while.
