I'm seeing a lot more mods for the FZ8 popping up on web sites and nearly ALL of them thus far have said they will fit the FZ8 and the '06 through '11 FZ1 bikes. This is good news for both groups of riders as this expands what we can buy and use on either bike interchangeably. This also means that you all who mod your FZ8 can take those off and apply most of them to the FZ1 should you decide to upgrade.
