a few times i adjusted the chain just right (tightest as measured from the bottom). checked after 20mi. the chain tightened up, no slack. adjust chain on the slack side & you wont put a load on output shaft or sprockets.

I had the same problem with my Stock chain.. i am not sure if you guys are still running stock chains but mine went out in 5000miles (stretched all the way out). it was noisy if i lubed it it helped a bit but it constantly came in and out of adjustment.the chain would get to tight then to loose on its own. the chain was junk. i upgraded to a rk chain and have 1200 miles and no issues what so ever!
