Long Distance RPM's

Hello, going to do some long distance riding soon. The speed limit is 80 mph most of the way, so I will be doing 90. That will put me at about 6500 rpm’s all day. I keep up with fluids, filters and plugs but do not know the affects if any, of riding at that rpm for 15 hours (stopping for gas every miles). Any imput on this would be appreciated. Thanks,
Pat

I just went 630 miles with -1 +2 gearing at that speed. It went great and that put me at 7-8k Rpms.

Hey there,

Not sure if you still have the stock seat. You may want to look into investing in an AirHawk. I bought one last year
and my butt swears by it.

Thanks for the info. I have had my seat re-stuffed and also use a pad, still not the best. Also bought highway pegs to reposition myself from time to time, a guy on the FZ1 site makes them. Done some long trips but not this long. Thanks,
Pat
