K&N filter makes air box cover not sit completely flush?

Good to hear about the stock filter. Makes me a little less annoyed about having to send the K&N filter back. My airbox top is still warped though! Oh well...

Give the airbox top a hit with a hot air gun. Not enough than you would burn your hand to touch though. Let it cool and see if starts going back to its proper shape. If its returning, give it another go and let cool. I've done this to an ABS bumper on a car and it went back to shape. Especially on any are where the plastic has discoloured. Carefull of any fuel around, don't blow yourself up!

I am surprised that there isnt any kind of rubberized seal around the closing end of the airbox.
