Locate Throttle cables and slide rubber cover off Adjusters

Get you a 8mm Wrench + Small crescent wrench. You will need two(2) tools.

Break loose the locking nut, shown here already loosen.
P1010734.JPG
Tighten this barrel adjuster to add 1mm of "play" in your throttle when you twist it.

Lock them together like so....

Well thanks very much, literally picked up my replacement throttle from LBS today, I look forward to installing it this weekend with the help of your very useful guide👍

Nice writeup. I think the hardest part to the whole thing is if you wanted matching grips and needed to take the old grip off the old tube. What a pain that was. Palm was sore after that fiasco.

I changed my grips when I changed the tube. Used a small/thin flat head screwdriver to break the glue and an air compressor. Worked like a charm.

First ride today with the r6 throttle and have to say was initially concerned that it would be harsh and snatchy,
Couldn't have been more wrong, pound for pound or dollar for dollar this has to be the best mod for the fz8!
