to preface, i do not own a fz8, but own a fz1. fz1 has quite a few silver painted pieces on it. i'm in the process of converting mine to all black. unfortunately, i am going to have to replace my upper triple clamp / yoke due to it getting damaged. i see that the fz8 triple looks like the same thing as the fz1, only difference would be the color.
to be clear, can anyone confirm:
1) are the upper triple clamps interchangeable between the fz1 and fz8?
2) i know the fz8 triple is black, but what kind of black? regular flat black, satin black, or does it have a bit of sparkle to it (metallic)? yamaha's liter bikes employ a metallic black paint for the frame/engine/etc. i have no idea what these newer and smaller bikes are using.
