Front/Rear Stands vs Center Stands?

can you take more pics of it? like an angle and a side picture? I wanna see how far it sticks out from the bike.

Hi Minja,hi DIZ,hi everybody..Here are some more pictures from original Yamaha main stand for FZ8.I cant shot new pictures,because we have here very cold weather and snow,so I dont want to visit garage and to see my bike when I cant ride..Sad..:)

Okay, another good question to ask you is the oil filer with that thing on. can you still access it for service? im thinking about getting this as well now.

Minja,yes its a good question..First service was done about three months ago,and it was changed in Yamaha service.I am sure its changed,because I made some schratches on the old filter just to check the service..:)..But I cant say if it can be change easy or hard.Only thing I remember is,there are enough place to pull it out.

I`ll look tomorrow or later on that place one more and measure it,if there enough place..Later I`ll post here again
Dont worry,its not chinese,so fits perfect...:)

I got the yamaha center stand, i like it and can use anywhere. I can't wait for spring, all these pics are killing me, we have -10*C and 4 inches of snow.

Every pound you shave off this bike, the better it handles.
The center stand is about an 8 pound addition. Not for me. Spools and a Pitbull

I'm not sure how your garage is supported, but i use backstand then have two big hooks in my garage support beam, and i use 2 straps to lift the front of the bike. It works well, just make your garage can suport the bike :)

Has anyone had issues with the front pit bull stand? I've read that it doesn't work well with the FZ8 and I wanted to make sure.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a front pitbull stand. What kind of problems have you heard about them?

I have Moto Stance front and rear stands. They work great with no interference with rotors or any other parts. I use spools on the rear. Seems to be a good product to me I have used them many times. Built strong and sturdy and I would recommend them to anyone. Got both front and rear from motorcycle superstore for 69.99 a piece.

I have pitbull rear and front stand...love them!!! If you buy front stand..make sure to buy the forklift one as to our bike do not have a pin whole for the bike specific ones...the only problem with my front stand is you cannot remove forks while bike is on it..but it's great for storage and tire changes

Thanks for answering both our questions, I'm guessing the forklift one is similar to the one FastZ8 is using in the picture?
