It'll work, but the light connector is different, so you have to splice it into the 8's harness.

Have you looked at the motodynamics integrated tail light? Super easy to install, I was able to do it myself and I'm an idiot.

From the pics on that ebay site, I think the motodynamics looks better too.

You can get a clear or smoked tail light. I bought mine off of amazon for around 100 bucks.

I don't know about that specific light but I picked up an AKO tail light from my local shop. Messed with it for about an hour trying to get it to work. Checked this site out and found that everyone else is using motodynmaic. Took the AKO back and bought the motodynamic. Super easy to install and comes with everything you need including step by step instructions. For me it would easily be worth the extra money to know it's gonna fit right in.
