Dyno run booked for this weekend :)

Haven't been here recently with my bike hibernating in it's shed over winter. But hopefully my 2012 FZ8 will by singing it's heart out on a Dynojet 250i on Sunday. The bike has had a full Arrow exhaust since the first service (up to 3000 miles now) and I threw a PC5 (with O2 optimizer) and K&N filter at it last weekend.

This is the first time I've ever had my own bike on a dyno so I'm looking forward to it! Should get it caught on video too for you guys :)

Def sounds fun! Should be interesting to see what kind of power increase those mods did for the bike...keep us posted.

The results are in...

Maybe the cool-ish temperature helped and of course not all dynos are created equal but I'm surprised and pleased to end up with 106 bhp at the wheel and 61ft/lbs! I've only done about five miles since getting it done, but the throttle response feels better than it did before I put the K&N and PC5 on; the bike feels like it's more eager to rev now and it feels a world away from when I first bought the bike with the standard exhaust on. I especially love the fact that compared to standard, the midrange flat spot is pretty much GONE :) All in all very happy!

I had it done at Race Developments in Gloucester. I can recommend Tim Radley as he's a very experienced tuner and dyno operator (and he makes a decent cup of tea).

Just need some dry roads now...

I recorded the session so hopefully this link to a short video on Facebook will work (there are HD and full screen buttons at the bottom of the vid window)

Cheers guys, yes the gains seem small on the chart but the bike already had a full Arrow system (so no cat or DB killer) plus the K&N and PC5 were installed (but the PC5 only had the closest map I could find on the PC website which wasn't really close enough).

So compared to the original spec, all the mods have added up to a good improvement that so far feels great on the road. The run cost £150 by the way (I was there for two hours in total), not cheap but less than an Autotune box :)
