Now the laws that I posted are for United States. I am not sure if any other countries have the same laws regarding warranties, etc. Please verify that.

Yeah, it is the about the same in Australia. As long as it is serviced at the appropriate intervals and logged, it is OK, I have been told. I double checked that with Yamaha Australia. They said it doesn't need to serviced by Yam dealer essentially as long as it is done, your warranty is OK.

However, if you replace a part with an alternative non-genuine part and that part is a cause of an issue, you cannot claim under the warranty.
