Yeah, state is full of great roads. Rt.16 is overall fav. and the part shown starts in tazwell,va. RT 20 N-S and RT3 E-W also worth using in WV.

I'm an hour east of you and ride once a week, unfortunately work schedule has it on tuesday or wednesdays so I am always solo. There are miles amd miles of great byways and backroads around.

Surges a bit now if below 3000rpm, seems to be from the torque increase there. Overall after around 7000 miles with nothing else but airbox mod it was worth the effort. ECM tuning not perfect but it can easily wait for new muffler and gearing.

Tried a little of both on a dirt bike as a teen... entire back got rashed and lots of stitches. Makes for a disapointing ride for me.

Switched back to T6 after using Mobil, first thing I notice is smoother shifting. Seems that happens after every oil change. Also seems my bike runs warmer with T6, oil analysis def. the way figure this out.

You are not alone with starting issues. After a year and lots of variables I think my bike gets confused when cold engine and ambient air temps happen to vary considerably(pushing out of cool garage to hot air). It has been suggested on here a few times to hold the clutch in also.

Getting ready to replace worn out PR3s with a new set of the same. They have been better than suspension for @8000 miles.

Used Dupont chain saver at least every 500 miles on original chain, had to replace it @10,000 because of so many NOISY very stiff links. Trusted bicycle mechanic suggested the solvent for the wax based lubes may wash the grease away. Trying MOTUL Road on this chain. Rollers should have something...

Icon overlord short have been great gloves. The kangaroo skin palms are awesome, ventilation is very good and they armored in the right spots.

Dirty roads sneak up on me (WV coalfields) sometimes, never really drift but it does step off line. Washing the front is what gets my attention but with such a great weight balance it doesnt take much to shift slide to rear.

Same thing with a Bell Star, noise ultimately made me try a Shoei Qwest (better fit much quieter). Crossed town the other day without riding jacket on, this made an even bigger difference.
