    the oil light comes off when the bike shuts off. so id bet the oil light was only on because the key was on and the bike wasnt runing.

    looking for a stand/lift that is good for changing the rear shock

    when i did the shock in my buell i did it with it on the ground. i put a car jack. small bottel jack in between the tire and the bottem of the passenger seat. just jacked it up till it fit. wasnt the easiest but it worked and i used the jack from my truck so it was also free

    Clutch plate swap... Problems...

    i did clutch plates... and springs... was a pretty simple job... i think it took like 30 min... i bet your missing a plate. i put in barnet racing clutch and springs for what its worth.

    could it be because the pipes use to heat up and cool with the wind blowing on them. and the ceramic coating is stopping it from heating up/cooling down.
