Still believe this is could be your problem and the battery may not be bad, but the charger isn't smart enough to charge an AGM battery that's been completely drained.
Did my 2013 at 720 (couldn't not drive it waiting for the dealer who was 2+ weeks out), used Yamalube Kit off Amazon. I still let the dealer do the first check though.

I agree, also have the Rx-Q in Blue (looks good with the 2013 FZ8 color scheme). Got mine as an open box (never used) at the store so I didn't have to pay full price.
