Possibly dumb question

I noticed the little button to the right of the lowbeam switch is stuck in. The salesman told me it's not a real button and nothing to be concerned with, is that true? What's it for?

Thanks,
Graham

Like others stated above it is a dumby button for US bikes. It is a good place to put in another button or switch for say a garage door opener or grip heaters, etc. Check under your seats for your manual.

Hmm I'll have to find a button to put in their for my grips and phone charger I plan to install. Do you know if anybody on the forum has done this?

Push and hold for 3 seconds, turn bike on, rev to 12000 and hold for 3 seconds, flick ignition off. Your bike now has 180hp!
