Parking lights killed my battery!!

Has anyone had issues with their parking lights?

You park up and switch off your ignition and not realizing you've switch your park lights on by mistake only to return later to find your battery dead?

This has happened twice now and is really irritating to say the least.

I had to get the train and two buses home with my battery in my bag, get home charge it up and them return to refit it. 4 hours wasted!!

Do we really need park lights, are they a law thing or can i get them disconnected?

Take your key out? Mine shut off when the key is removed..

Man that would suck. I went to start my bike yesterday, and it wouldn't start. Not sure if it is the battery (it tested fine on my voltmeter) so I am taking it down to the dealer tomorrow for a check. Glad I don't have the parking lights issue, to boot!
