I just wanted to take an opportunity to say "Hello" to everyone on the forum.
I've been lurking since a week or so before I purchased my bike (July 27). I used some of the feedback on the forum to help make my final decision.
So far I've only got about 1000km on the bike, but I love it. After about a year and a half of being bike-less I couldn't be happier with my purchase. For street riding, the suspension (so far) and power seem well tuned for my ~180 lb body weight and skill level. With that said, I can definitely foresee that any really aggressive street riding or tract days, in particular, would reveal the shortcomings with the stock suspension.
My past street bikes include: 1994 Suzuki GS500, 2003 SV650, 2004 CBR600RR, and 2006 SV1000S. In all I've probably got about 50,000 to 60,000km of riding experience.
It seems like there is lot of knowledge and experience from the forum members. Hopefully I can make a positive contribution to the forum in the months/years to come.
