FZ1 Mods fit the FZ8?

Will mods created for the FZ1 fit the FZ8?? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt the frame pretty much the same? So would things like blinkers and sliders fit our bikes?

yamaha has been using the same engine side bolts for years. side blinkers as well. my last bike was a 2003 r1 and the same blinkers and sliders fit.

now don't forget that yamaha has a special way to fit their blinkers that require adapters (usually) for aftermarket blinkers.

I noticed on the R&G tail tidy I ordered it says on the box that i'ts for a 2006 FZ1. So my guess is not only did the Fz1 stay the same for quite a few years, but most parts should be cross-compatible between Fz8 and Fz1.
