Clutch cable

To replace clutch cable do I need to take out air box? If so how does it undo? need help not riding while this is pending

i replaced mine without removing the air box but i think i did loosen the bolts for the tank and pushed it forward.

Thanks Mate mine is directed under the air box but seems to catch pushing it in either direction so will have a go at it tomorrow

I have a question, and feel stupid for asking. my clutch cable was frayed and needed replacing. I ordered one that appears Identical. I ran the routing the same, and when I put it on, it has too much play. It acts as if it is too long. I have adjusted the handlebar adjustment all the way out and the adjustment in the middle of the cable by the metal bend all the way out also. What am I doing wrong???
