Yes, the inner portion remains, it's part of the tank itself. New tank retail is around 700, including the new plastic side shrouds, double sided tape and fuel pump o-ring. Tank comes pre-painted and ready to install.

I thought about removing the passenger seat strap as well....until I lost my balance backing the bike through an overhead door and the strap was the only thing I could grab to save from dropping the bike. It held the entire weight of the bike :dropjaw:

I have the Akra full system and Yamaha stand, both fit, no issues

So it fits, more clearance on one side but they look good.

Wow, you guys have no taste. It's a 50th anniversary special edition that's a throwback to the original FZ days. My dad and uncles had the '85-89 FZ 750's and remember this colour scheme quite well.... Red & White FTW!

First post, can anyone tell me if the Yamaha sub-cowling will work with Akra Ti full system? It looks like the Akra headers are quite different from stock and I'm wondering if they will interfere with the cowling, thanks Shaun
