Good choice. I've riden the last two years with a Phoenix 4.0. Summers in Georgia get hot too. Great ventilation, sturdy feel and good fit for those of us with a mature (I'm 52) build.

Thanks for the link. Don't think I'll try the pie and lard method. Already at 90kg (200lbs) at my height is more than enough.

I'm new here and considering purchase of the FZ8. Took a test ride at the local dealer and being 5'7" (1.70), I can get the balls of my feet down but would like to lower seat height a little more. Anyone have any suggestions other than investing in crash gear and sliders?:confused:

NEW TO FORUM, OLD RIDER Stopped off here to get more insight about the bike since it has just made it to my area. Looking to get new ride (movig up from 2k ZR-7) and checked out the FZ8. Looks and feels great on the test ride.
