The money is worth it depending on what you value your time at, its all subjective. I personally do not think the dealer would do a better job than you can do yourself. If you have a dremmel have at it! :D

Sure is a Luimoto, great quality you will be very happy with it. Installation is a pain in the a55. Another memeber gave me a good tip, let it heat up in the sun first it makes stretching it into place much easier.

We should be happy we have metal tanks, the Ducs have plastic tanks and the ethenol makes the tanks warp! Huge class action lawsuit was settled a couple months ago on this. Back to the gas heating up, this is normal and is what happens when the gas expasnds in the heat, just keep your tank...

No modding needed that Im aware of. Just make sure you bleed the lines correctly etc.

yea its easy, takes about an hour with the dremel if you go slow and do a nice job. It does leave gaps which can allow water to get in. Check out my mods thread, I have pics in there showing the gaps. That was the only downside to it.

The drop from 40-55 mph is gone, nice looking curve.

I'm with you as about 90% of my riding is city riding.knowing your route and the typical trouble spots is important also, but having meat to use is key in a sticky situation and is 101 city driving technique!

Hows the decel pop now, you notice any change or increase in decel pop? I would do this but then Id need to get the PC retuned...
