    Anyone see the new Suzuki FZ8? LOL

    From what I've heard the 07-08 R1s were the most powerful R1s they ever made. I've never ridden a crossplane but from my understanding they are actually down on power compared to the older bikes. Maybe they have a ridiculous mid range? Just sharing my experience, not really comparing the two...

    Squid question. Bare with me!

    Bone stock I've seen 145 "naked" and 152 with my Givi winscreen on and tucked. It will go faster though... Ps. mine will indicate 75 mph bouncing the rev limiter in first. Not how i normally ride, just did it for the hell of it. lol

    To measure the torque you would need a torque wrench... But as long as you get it to about the amount of force it took to take it off i think you will be fine! maybe just check it after riding for a week or so...

    CNC Bar End Mirror Install

    I mounted my bar end mirrors between the grips and the factory bar end weights using a longer bolt. as for the spacing issue, I simply used a washer to get some clearance between the throttle and the mirror.

    Smoked an 07 Honda CBR600RR through about 3 miles of fast sweepers. By the end of the road I kid you not I had about a half mile on him LOL From 0 to 100 the FZ is out in front of the cbr no problem, he will catch you at about 110 though and after that its a lost cause.     By doing a research I realize you're completely right on the lack of gear indicator. If the ECU does regulate ignition timing and secondary butterfly actuation by gear position it uses speed and rpm to figure it out... scrap that idea. Sounded like something fun to do first thing this morning...

    Can some one confirm to me that there are indeed factory performance restrictions programmed into the ECU in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear?? IF SO, that means the bike has to have a selected gear sensor... Now, that being said why don't we find this alleged sensor and figure out the resistance figure...
