I hose down to begin with to loosen the crud. I'll then use Autoglym motorcycle cleaner section at a time to avoid it drying. After this I'll degrease the crud on the wheels and swingarm using Autoglym degreaser. I'll dry bike by hand ( have to invest in leaf blower ) My FZ8 is shined up...

Fz8 owner from Manchester, still yet to see any other fz8s about. Only clocked 800 miles due to forks needing replacement. Will hopefully be driving down to brightona in 2 weeks for the charity gathering.

Job completed yesterday, all good as new. Completed a short survey to go back with forks for examination by Yamaha. Might help them see if it's a common fault in need of recall. I will wait and see how forks fair over the next few weeks. ......and to think I was so close to trading her in for...

thanks for replies, I've been reading that seals may not be covered as they are part of maintainance. I'm gonna try anyway. Wonder if upside down forks suffer more due to greater exposure?
