    Dynojet quick shifter

After I posted I sent Dynojet an email and they had me tweak the settings. It works perfect now and it's an awesome addition. I rarely use the clutch anymore and would highly recommend installing one. I have mine still setup as a standard shift and have found if I get lazy in the shifting...

    Dynojet quick shifter

I just installed the quick shift sensor and can't seem to get the darn thing to work. I tried all the different settings in the PCV program with no luck. Has anyone installed the quick shifter? With the Graves rear sets installed I purchased the "push type". For $200, I sure hope I can get...

    PCV Auto tune

Real time or not? I'm not a 100% sure how the auto tune works. The website says it makes adjustments in real time. I have read threads on the web that states it only records what the fuel/air mixtures should be then they are only applied once the trim table is sent to the map. I know you can...

    PCV Auto tune

Trust the auto tune So basically it sounds like I should trust the auto tune because it is tailoring the bike to how I ride. As I get more aggressive the auto tune should show changes according, I assume.

    PCV Auto tune

Well I went on my first ride after installing the PCV Auto Tune. It wants to make a lot of adjustments to the Jumbo map I installed in the PCV. I'm just a little concerned because it seems like a lot of changes to a map that everyone is running. Is this normal because it is tuning to my bike...

    Speed and Temp

Just bought the PCV and Auto tune, I am wondering if the speed and temperature can be sent to the PCV. If so, what connector / wire could I splice into? I am installing the Auto tune later today and was hoping to get some info before I put the bike back together. Is there is a need for these...

Need a map for tomorrow, please :)

I just installed the PCV and I am wondering anyone has a map that will work with my set up. PCV, Graves block off plates, 2 Brothers M-2 slip on, airbox mod, K&N air filter, ceramic coated headers. Any help would be appreciated, hopefully I can get the thing to a dyno in the near future.

    Knowledge please!

Jet-Hot I too thought the headers would look awesome either wrapped or coated. After searching the forums and looking at the photos, I opted to get them ceramic coated at Jet-Hot. They just shipped them back, so I'm still waiting for them to arrive. I'm skeptical of any increases in Hp but I...

    AZ FZ Riders

Down for upgrades I'll have to keep you guys in mind after I get the bike reassembled. I decided to yank the headers and mid pipe for ceramic coating at Jet Hot. Figured since it is the colder months that it is as good as time as any. Plus I got some tinkering to do with the rear sets I just...

    Phoenix/Scottsdale/Mesa ride on 11/27/2013

Checking on the date I assume you meant 1/27/13. What time you headed out? I live down near Queen Creek but work in Scottsdale. I've ridden up to Payson about a month ago, nice ride. Another ride thats pretty cool but short is the ride up to Tortilla Flats. Let me know what time your...

    Carbon Fiber Thread

? I agree, We had Hydrographics done on some of the interior of one of our helicopters at my work and it was awesome. After I saw it, I immediately thought it would be a great alternative to actually buying all CF parts. But it is quite expensive so I have the dilema, go with hydrographics or...

    Carbon Fiber Thread

2012 model with carbon fiber retrofit I am wondering if anyone has retrofitted the 2012 model in carbon fiber. I have the 2 Brothers CF Black series installed and think it might be cool to do the whole bike. Before I spend the money I thought I'd ask because my concern is if it will look good...

    Miles per tank?

Why the horrible gas mileage I've had the bike for about 6 months and the F-trip on my bike comes on around 170 miles. I've taken it as far as 187 miles and haven't had to put more than 4 galons into the tank so that leads me to believe there's a good chance to stretch it to 200 miles. I've...

    Airbox mod pics anyone?

Removing the airbox So I just installed the K&n filter. I've been reading up on the airbox mod and I am wonder how the airbox actually is removed? When I installed the new filter I poked around and didn't see where it's connected so a can remove. Anyone that has a clue please let me know...

    Recommended oils

Thanks for the info fellow riders Thanks for all the input on this subject. I've decided to go with the Rotella for 3 reasons: Gets great reviews from fellow riders, Inexpensive (best bang for the buck), and the wife works at Wal-Mart so I get a dicount :) I've decided that since the oil and...

    Recommended oils

I've read a few threads that recommend using Shell Rotella T6 synthetic motor oil. Is this available in something other than 5W40. The reason I am inquiring is because the owners manual does not recognize this as a recommended oil. It seems the manual recommends 10W30 up to 20W50 depending on...

    LOWERING RIDE/SEAT HEIGHT

CG of bike My next question before I purchase the Soupy's lower link is If you can actually feel the difference in the handling of the bike. I figure the center of gravity being lowered would make for a snappier turn.

    LOWERING RIDE/SEAT HEIGHT

Tight turns I also am cursed with the short leg syndrome being only 5'7", so the Soupy's lowering link is an attractive option to me. My only concern is if when taking a tight corner with the rear end lowered if there is a possibility of dragging the foot pegs, etc?

Slip-on exhausts, Power Commander V with quick shift

Kids college funds being depleted With to young kids, I've had to start with some small inexpensive mods/ accessories and get some personal protective gear. Who says the kids have to go to college anyways :) I've been looking at that Yoshi R77D and it looks great from the photos and on the...

Slip-on exhausts, Power Commander V with quick shift

Well I've had my FZ8 for three months now and figured its time to add an aftermarket slip-on exhaust. I'm located in the Phoenix area and it's just to darn hot to ride so it's a great time to do all the upgrades. Also I figure I'd purchase a Power Commander V while I'm at it. My first...
