Different strokes for different folks... I wanted to take off the mirrors on the test ride before I bought it and they were off as soon as possible.

I'm with Hoover - I try not to ride until it comes off LO, but when you got to go... you got to ride. Our manual indicates it is ok to ride when it is on LO so I just baby it at first and it is usually off LO before I have to twist it to merge with traffic.

This is not my first bike, first sport bike or naked bike - but it is the best I have ever owned. Absolutely love this bike - and it is quickly becoming the best I have ever owned.

Hola from Lubbock Texas - got my FZ8 about a month ago and love it. Not new to bikes but this is my first Yamaha. Ride motocross and enduros with my boys and trying to keep them off street bikes. Do what I say not as I do kind of thing. Mom is on board with dirt but not with street.
