I've always meant to take a closer look at Rever. The features descriptions make it sound like you can use it to plan rides, or even take rides other people post. Like you can do with a higher end GPS.
I'll take a pic of it this weekend. Not concerned about it looking like new; I know that won't happen without taking it apart and having it redone. Mostly just want to darken the parts that are showing silver so it's not so noticeable. If nothing else I can always touch it up with a toothpick...
So, when I bought my bike, it looked as if the previous owner probably kept his house key or something on his bike key causing a lot of wear on the top triple tree. There's a good amount of black worn off and it looks pretty shitty. Anyone know of a product/method of touching up the black...
In SE Wisconsin. :)
Got the Rizoma Reverse Retro bar end mirrors on a few weeks ago. Didn't want to drill out the OEM bar internals for the adapters so I ended up flipping the gold rizoma bar end caps around and using those as an attachment point for the mirrors. All I needed was a bar end bolt...
Tailbag! Seriously could not live without my tailbag. Hold my wallet, house keys, flat tire repair kit, and anything I pick up while I'm out. Mostly soda and beer. :D
Usually between 180 to 200 or so. Goes under 180 when running at around 60 mph in 6th gear for low rpms. I've seen it hit 214 more than once when riding through town. Fan kicked on at 212. Bike doesn't like screwing around at 30 mph for very long heh.
Inner thighs and crotch get pretty warm when riding sometimes. Can get pretty nasty when it's already hot out.
Never had a bike throw heat at me like this one does. The entire frame area around your legs just seems to start warming up as soon as the bike is turned on. Bet I'm going to love...
So, this is a really old thread, but I'm getting the really jumpy Rpms when riding at in-town speeds. Has no one seriously ever fixed this? It is incredibly irritating and I can't find any other information on it.
Thanks for the info, folks. The heat could definitely be the frame heating up. I sit pretty hard into the tank on this bike, but not uncomfortably so, so that would make sense as I'm not used to hugging the frame with my crotch like I am now. Not a huge deal, like I said I can just splay my legs...
Hey all! Just picked up a 2012 on tuesday. Had about 7k miles on it. Scratch here and there, mostly on the exhaust, but I already got a Yoshi on the way anyway.
Anywho, I have 2 questions about the bike now that I've gotten 200 or so miles on it:
1 - Low speed (under 40mph) surging. This is...
