I am 290 and don't have any issues with the bike, once I got the suspension adjusted for my weight. I have a 2013, so the front suspension was adjustable as well. I don't believe that is possible with other years.

I went down with the Shogun sliders and totaled my bike. The bike slid for maybe 5 feet (almost stopped in time, but hit gravel :-( ). The engine didn't have any markings and the slider was still in good condition. The bike was totaled due to the damage to the front end and swing arm.

To hold the tank up I used 3 paint mixers (the smaller size of the two) from Home Depot taped together to stiffen up the wood. I just put the K&N air filter in a couple of weeks ago on my 2013.
