Nope, that's no "tick" ... btw, just so you know, for one reason or the other pretty much every manufacturer get the "the ____ tick" name on the internet, and it's usually just a common engine noise such as timing chain, loose valve, or even normal fuel injection sounds they are baffled by...

I like the black forks. That was a good move IMO. The only thing I'm not happy about really is that there is no ABS option for the US.

Try this.... Get yourself a nice long Flathead screwdriver. Press the end of the blade onto one engine piece/area bolt after another, and each time while holding pressure against the bolt, place your ear onto the end of the screwdriver handle. This is an old mechanics trick to help pinpoint...

The FZ8 and FJR are being updated for 2013, and will be revealed next week at Intermot, possibly on the first day of the show this coming Wednesday, October 3rd. Expect to see ABS ether standard or as an option on the FZ8.
