I took the muffler off and took a long drill bit and just kept drilling holes in the desicant till I could break it into pieces and pull out the chunks. You have to be careful not to hit the oxygen sensor. Took a couple of hours to get it out. Runs cooler and that's about all I can tell. Might...

I have the Vance and Hines on mine and it has a low deeper tone. I also have gutted the cat and it sounds different with that. Runs a little cooler too.

I have a Shad seat on mine and I can ride about a gas stop before I have to get off. The stock seat was okay for about 40 miles and I had to get off.

Mine does that too. After I put a aftermarket silencer on it it is not as noticable. I think it is hamonics from the engine and frame. I have a 13 too. I am 59 years old and ride a Goldwing also. I love the FZ8.

Most of the heat I get is from the radiator.

58. Will be 59 in september. Just put a Vance and Hines slip-on today. Think I will like it. At speed not much louder than stock. By the way I really love this bike. Also ride a 2012 goldwing.

You need a thinner head gasket to raise compression. Then you would probably have to run race gas.

Not much luck with windsheild. Bought Givi and it is not much. Made one work from Super Tennere. Lot better just get a little helmet noise. I ride to work mostly freeway and the windsheild helps alot.
