    FZ8 is a chick magnet.

I don't think it's just the bike, the rider has to be good looking also, well coming from a females perspective that is. I have a damn hot looking bike with an amazing sounding pipe and I don't get anyone coming up to chat me up, mainly cause I'm old and fat but that's my point, the rider has to...

    Bike too hot to ride

The heat shield I'm learning is turning out to be a huge hit, although one guy said he used cardboard to wrap the heat film in which I won't be doing, I'll be using some form of metal moulding as I'm not keen on putting something as flammable as cardboard in a hot situation. Will let you know...

    Bike too hot to ride

Can feel hot airflow all around at 85 deg and above, at any speed, whether it be in traffic or on the fwy Ive been trawling through a lot of the FZ1 forums and it appears that 80% of ppl have had this exact problem so it's not just me having a supposed "whine", problem has been masked so far...

    Bike too hot to ride

The day I got my burns the temp was 101 degrees and on the freeway, fan kicked in as it normally does when it gets around 95 to 100, admittedly I wasn't wearing my leathers but had Kevlar pants on. I have ridden with leathers, normal pants and thin pants and neither help

    Bike too hot to ride

Have been to the dealers and the dealer was happy to think of ways to help but his mechanics attitude was just "meh" so the next thing I'm planning on doing is what you said pigdog, with either the fiber composite or heat reflective film, there's enough room between the main frame and the seat...

    Bike too hot to ride

No mods yet, haven't even got a new pipe made for it she's that new. I'm on 550klms so far and first service will be at a 1000. There's a coolant here called Engine Ice which is supposedly great and will keep the temp down but they don't want to add it until the first service.

    Bike too hot to ride

Thanks for your thoughts guys. Yes I was wearing pants all times, don't ever squid. Gauge seemed to be reading right, I work in Celcius here so it gets up as high as 101 C, fans kick in when they are supposed too and yes it does cool down (the gauge) on the highway but still not enough to stop...

    Bike too hot to ride

this maybe a stupid question but here goes. I bought a brand new half faired Yamaha FZ800 7 days ago so she's still being run in, I've ridden her 3 days now in warm weather and the heat coming off the bike was so unbelievably hot, to the point where I couldn't even put my legs down to grip the...
