The recommended tyre pressure is always a compromise between grip, fuel economy, and the life of the tyre. I always thought a couple of PSI lower felt better, but it probably reduces the overall life of the tire and uses more fuel.

How cold does it have to be before you put it away? Middle of winter here, we might get down to 5 degrees C at night (41F) but I'd ride every day of the year.

The sliders themselves are also quite good, I've already fitted a pair... and then gone for a slide, and destroyed that pair... and now I have a second set waiting for when I get my bike back from the shop :o

Those RideIt levers look to be well made... I haven't fitted mine yet, but just looking at them in the box I'm impressed.

I've got 2 spare flasher units to suit LED indicators on an FZ8, mostly because the price of postage from the US just for one flasher wasn't worth it. So if anyone would like a flasher unit, I can post one to you for 20 bucks.

There really should only be enough freeplay in the throttle to accomodate turning the handlebars to full lock both ways... if there's any more than that, I can't think of a reason to justify it. Having said that, I haven't noticed any problems on mine so you may have an issue to be addressed.

To go from a CBF250 to an FZ8N is just extraordinary... how anyone could ride a litre sportsbike on the street is beyond me.

Hello from Brisbane! Got a 2011 FZ8 at the end of July, using it mostly for the work commute at the moment... haven't really taken it anywhere exciting around here yet.
