whoops, Just had a look with my glasses on :o and it's got a little plug in it with 4 round black things in it.

Think it just provides a smooth surface for the pads to slide on and maybe a bit of vibration dampening

Just looked at mine and I think it sit between the brake calliper and the mounting bracket, If I can get my phone to connect to my pc I'll post a pic

Just a thought. If you block off the gap where's the heat gonna go. Will it not build up under the tank and around the air filter?

think a lot of the heat comes from the exhaust through that ruddy great hole in the swing arm where the shock comes through

Thanks for the reply Tango59. Maybe should have mentioned it's not fixed to anything, It's just on the end of a bunch of wires dangling around. Can't find anything on google for FZ8 diagnostics. Guess i'm gonna have to get the old multimeter out and see what voltages are there. Thought maybe...

Hi from another newbee, Just part x'd my 91 fzr600 genesis for a new Fazer 8, can't believe how well it handles and the way the engine pulls, and can't wait till its run in so i can really see what she'll do.

The Fazer here has a half fairing, I'm trying to get the lowers to join the the top fairing to the belly pan or a complete bottom section with belly pan. The Yam one is £500.
